2009 closer

Hey everybody, I just wanted to let everyone know that the 2009 season is over. I am driving for Jeff Walker again and Jeff has decided not to go out west for the remainder of the season. Although this season was very tough I am very excited to say that I will be teaming back up with Jeff Walker for the 2010 season. Keep looking for updates being done to the website, I am working now on the updates and we should be able to start construction soon. I apologize for the rare posts on my blog, I am going to try to get in the habit of doing this more often. If you don't see posts more frequently just email me at hunterschuerenberg@yahoo.com and I will get back to you and put a post up also. I just need help being reminded from those of you that are curious to what is going on haha, you can also look me up on facebook.

Thanks, Hunter

Lawrenceburg USAC race 8/22/09

Hey everybody,

I just wanted to let everyone know how the USAC race went at Lawrenceburg last Saturday night. We did not use the usual qualifying format, instead we used the Sprint Bandits TNT format. I like this format much better because it forces you to race no matter what position you are in because every position earns you more points in your heat race for the feature. Our night went well for the most part, the first heat race I started sixth and finished third. The second heat race or the "qualifier", I started fourth and finished third again. The track was pretty good for the first part of the feature I started ninth and got up to sixth on the bottom early on, but as the bottom faded I moved to the top and got over the cushion and fell back to ninth. After falling to ninth it was hard to gain anything back, the cushion was right around the top and hard to make a slide job work. So long story short we finished in the ninth spot for the night. I'm not sure right now the plans for next weekend. The motor is out of the Epperson car for a rebuild, there is a chance I may be in Jeff Walkers car but I will not know until the middle of the week. Keep a look out for more updates.

Whats new

Hey everybody,

Its Hunter, I just wanted to let everybody know whats going on. Two weeks ago I went to Iowa to drive for jeff walker at Knoxville and Oskaloosa. Knoxville was rained out but Oskaloosa went fairly well. The race got off to a good start, I got to third from a seventh place starting spot and rode there until lap eighteen we had a red. After the red I had a slow fade to a tenth place finish, I felt that the car started to go away, and also made a few mistakes of my own. Last weekend I ran for Tony and Millie Epperson in the #2 car. Bloomington on friday did not go so well, I started on the pole and finshed seventh, wrenching the car still proves to be a struggle for me haha. Waynesfeild Ohio was saturday night, it went a little better. I posted another seventh place finish from the eleventh. This weekend I will be back in the Epperson car for the USAC race in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Thanks to everybody that reads my posts. Hope to see you all at the track.

5/6/09

Hey everybody, just wanted to update you on the weekend plans. Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I have my computer going again so I should be back to posting every week. This week I will be running the USAC show at Bloomington Speedway as well as the MSCS show at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana on Saturday night. Depending on how those two nights go and whether or not the car is in one piece we will run Kokomo Speedway on Sunday night. Hope to see all of you there.

Thanks again,

Hunter

Hunter's Blog- 3/11/09

Hey everybody, I would like to thank you for checking out the new site this year. Just to get you updated on myself, I am currently looking for a place in Indy to move into for the 2009 season. As most of you already know, I will be driving for Darryl Guiducci in the dirt sprint car and possibly some silver crown races. I am also very excited to be working with former NFL player and owner of EDEN Sports and Nutrition Design, Matt Mitrione on my training regimen this year. I hope to have shirts done with the new team sponsors and logo by the first part of April. Our first race will be April 4th at Twin Cities. Feel free to email me on my website if you want to know more about what's going on. I plan on posting at least once a week to inform everyone on the latest news.
